Vinkovci is the largest city in the South Eastern Slavonia on the river Bosut, between the Danube and Sava. In addition to its rich cultural and historical attractions and events, Vinkovci is a treasure of natural beauty and richness in the city itself and its surroundings. The villages Otok, Ivankovo, Rokovci, Andrijaševci, Lipovac and others, are like a necklace of pearls that surround the city in a beautiful oak forest environment, the meandering rivers and their tributaries (natural phenomenon Virovi near Otok) offer a holiday in true contact with the natural surroundings in rural homesteads with hospitable hosts, where visitors can participate in the village work. The population here in an authentic way - singing, playing, music and rich Slavonian food - shows their generosity and welcome to every guest. Near the city there are famous hunting grounds - Kunjevci, Spačva and Merolino, and anglers can satisfy their appetites on the rivers Bosut, Spačva and Studva. Fishing has particularly developed, as well as a number of competitions in the preparation of fish stew. The biggest events are Vinkovci Autumn, a folklore and cultural event and a real tourist attraction!
